SAFETY INFORMATION When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions must be followed in order to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and/or injury to persons or property. Be sure to read all instructions before using this appliance and observe the following safety tips: This product is intended for indoor residential and office use only, not for industrial or other commercial applications.
5 • Avoid the use of extension cords due to risk of fire. If an extension cord must be used, the cord must be minimum 14 AWG and rated not less than 1875 watts. • Do not run power cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area where it will not be tripped over. • Do not insert or allow any object to enter any openings on the fan. Doing so may cause electric shock and/or fire hazard. Avoid contact with moving parts on the fan.
6 WARNING: Fire Hazard Fans have arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use near combustible materials or flammable gases or sources of heat. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable materials are used or stored. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire, or damage the fan.
7 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ASSEMBLY OF THE METAL BASE Before installation, ensure the fan is unplugged from the power supply and turned off before commencing assembly. 1. 2. Unscrew the screws from the Metal Tube. Insert the Metal tubes into the Metal Base, re-insert and tighten the screws. OPERATING THE FAN Always operate the fan in the upright position following all instructions and recommendations listed in this manual. Place the fan in the area of the room that will provide proper fan cooling.
8 FAN CRADLE ASSEMBLY Simple assembly is required to use this fan. 1. 2. 3. 4. Align Cradle Base (packed separately) with support brackets attached to fan body sides. Note: you may need to flex the parts to make them align properly. Insert support bracket into the opening of Cradle Base. Press spring loaded button down to allow it to insert into the Cradle Base (Fig 1). Press the support bracket into the Cradle Base until the spring button protrudes out the open hole in Cradle Base (Fig. 2).
9 DO NOT OPERATE THE FAN WITHOUT THE GRILLE IN PLACE. DO NOT USE THE FAN IF IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED OR BECOME DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. Keep original carton for storage of the fan. Coil and tie the power cord to avoid damage during storage. FUSE REPLACEMENT This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet.
10 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The fan will not operate. The fan is not rotating. Possible Causes The fan isn’t plugged in and/or the electrical outlet isn’t working properly. Solution Make sure the fan is plugged in and/or the electrical outlet is working properly. The circuit breaker may be tripped or there is a blown fuse. Obstructions are keeping the fan from working. Reset the circuit breaker or check for a broken fuse. Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn the fan off.
11 LIMITED MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY This appliance is covered by a limited manufacturer’s warranty. For one year from the original date of purchase, the manufacturer will repair or replace any parts of this appliance that prove to be defective in materials and workmanship, provided the appliance has been used under normal operating conditions as intended by the manufacturer.
