Deck-A-Floor Locking Insert
Installation:
1. The locking insert can be installed as shown in Figure
20 by placing the insert into the middle of the PRO
Clip.
2. We recommend using a rubber mallet to hammer
down the locking insert into the designated slot
provided in each PRO Clip. The designated slot will be
slightly lower and it is located in the middle of each
clip whether it be the PRO Clip 5 or PRO Clip 1.
3. The finished installation can be seen in Figure 21.
4. The location of where the locking inserts need to be
placed can be seen on Figure 21.
5. On a single board the two locking inserts will be need
to used as shown in Figure 22.
Installation for a board without sister joists:
1. When installing boards that don’t have sister joists the
locking inserts will go in the middle of the board.
2. If the board is on less than three joists only one locking
insert is needed. The locking insert will always be in
the middle of the board see Figure 22 for more
information.
Installation for a board with sister joists:
1. When installing boards with sister joists locking inserts
will always go to the clip that is closest to where the
boards ends butt up against the other board as show
in Figure xx.
2. A second locking insert will also be placed adjacent to
that end of the board as show in Figure 23 therefore
having a total of two locking inserts per board.
