TRIM INSTALLATION
SANDSTONE LEDGER
The Sandstone Ledger is an ideal transition when using other building materials above
or around NextStoneâ„¢ products. It also provides a sloped sill for water runoff in
wainscot type of applications.
Step 1
Measure the total length of ledger required in Linear feet. It is important to end all
Ledger applications with factory finished ledger ends. If cuts must be made to meet
linear coverage, cut ledger pieces in the center as this will allow tight union between
the pieces with finished edges.
Step 2
Toe Screw the Ledger to the underlying substrate with screws placed at a minimum
of 16" apart. Ledgers can also be attached by screwing underneath the ledger piece.
Angle screw at each end to insure tight fits between ledger pieces.
Note:
Exterior applications require flashing if other siding products are used above the
ledger. Flashing will also cover screws used to attach the ledger for a more
professional result. If flashing will not be used, fill screw holes with grout and paint.
