Operating Guide

PREPARATION:

1. Check the contents of the box. You should have received the spotlight fixture, mounting plate,

mounting hardware, secure screw, and wire connectors. If any of these components are missing,

please contact NICOR Lighting.

2. If you are replacing an existing fixture, after ensuring the electricity is off, disconnect it and remove

entirely exposing the supply wiring from inside the junction box.

3. Fasten the mounting plate to the junction box using the screws included.

GENERAL:

1. Be sure to read these instructions and review the diagram thoroughly before beginning the

installation.

2. All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes, ordinances, or the National

Electrical Code. If you’re unfamiliar with the practice of installing electrical wiring, secure the services

of a qualified licensed electrician.

3. The junction box must be supported by a building structure.

4. Before starting the installation, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing

the fuse at the fuse box. Turning the power off by using the light switch is not sufficient to prevent

electrical shock.

5. NOTE: The important safeguards and instructions appearing in this manual are not meant to cover

all possible hazardous conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood that common

sense, caution, and care are factors that cannot be built into any product. These factors must be

applied by the person installing and operating the fixture.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION: To make the electrical connections: Connect the white wire(s) from the fixture to the white wire(s) of the supply circuit in the junction box. Connect the black wire(s) from the fixture to the black wire(s) of the supply circuit in the junction box. Attach the green grounding wire (or bare copper wire) from the supply circuit in the junction box to the green grounding attachment screw on the mounting plate.
