Monitoring
The SpO
2
monitoring is only available on the ZM-930PA/931PA transmitter.
This transmitter sends SpO
2
and pulse waveform to the monitor and displays SpO
2
data and pulse level bar graph on the LCD.
Refer to the operator’s manual of the monitor for details.
WARNING
SpO
2
measurement may be incorrect in the following cases.
• When the patient’s carboxyhemoglobin or methemoglobin
increases abnormally.
• When dye is injected in the blood.
• When using an electrosurgical unit.
• During CPR.
• When measuring at a site with venous pulse.
• When there is body movement.
• When the pulse wave is small (insufficient peripheral circulation).
WARNING
When not monitoring SpO
2
, disconnect the SpO
2
cable from the
transmitter. Otherwise, noise from the probe sensor may interfere and
incorrect data is displayed on the screen.
