The Release-Mode Dial
To choose a release mode, press the
release mode dial lock release and turn
the release mode dial to the desired
setting (0 83).
Mode Description
S
Single frame
One photograph is taken each time the shutter-
release button is pressed.
CL
Continuous low speed
The camera takes photographs at a slow rate
while the shutter-release button is pressed.
CH
Continuous high speed
The camera takes photographs at a fast rate while
the shutter-release button is pressed.
J
Quiet shutter-release
As for single-frame, except that camera noise is
reduced.
M
Qc (quiet continuous)
shutter-release
The camera takes photographs while the shutter-
release button is pressed; camera noise is
reduced.
E
Self-timer Take pictures with the self-timer.

Remote control
Take pictures with an optional ML-L3 remote
control.
MUP
Mirror up Raise the mirror before taking photographs.
