D AF-Assist Illumination
The AF-assist illuminator has a range of about 0.5–3.0 m (1 ft 8 in.–9 ft
10 in.); when using the illuminator, use a lens with a focal length of
18–200 mm and remove the lens hood. AF-assist illumination is not
available with the following lenses:
• AF-S NIKKOR 14–24mm f/2.8G ED
• AF-S NIKKOR 28–300mm f/3.5–5.6G ED VR
• AF-S DX NIKKOR 55–300mm f/4.5–5.6G ED VR
• AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70–200mm f/2.8G IF-ED
• AF-S NIKKOR 70–200mm f/2.8G ED VR II
• AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 80–200mm f/2.8D IF-ED
