Functions Target priority mode (First Target Priority mode/Distant Target Priority mode) This Nikon Laser Rangefinder employs the First Target Priority/Distant Target Priority switching system. (Factory default setting is Distant Target Priority mode.) En Fr When measuring overlapping subjects: First Target Priority mode displays the distance of the closest subject and Distant Target Priority mode displays that of the farthest subject.
Inserting/Replacing battery En Fr Type of battery 3V CR2 lithium battery ×1 Inserting/Replacing battery 1. Open the battery-chamber cover. Rotate the battery-chamber cover counterclockwise and remove it. 2. Insert the battery. To replace the battery, take out the old battery before inserting a new one. Follow the battery insertion mark inside the battery chamber to insert the + and - ends of the battery in the correct orientation (insert so that the - end faces outward).
Navigating the menus • Operating the MODE button There are two ways to press the MODE button. Operate the button while following the descriptions in this manual. - “Press and hold” means to continue pressing the button for 1.5 seconds or longer. - “Press” means to press the button quickly (less than 1.5 seconds). En Fr Changing the internal display luminance (IL) Adjust the brightness of the internal display. The factory default setting is IL A (Auto, automatic brightness control).
En Fr Changing the distance display unit (F1) For the display unit of the measurement results, select YD (yards) or m (meters). Factory default setting is YD (yard). 1. Press the PWR button to turn on the Laser Rangefinder. 2. Press and hold the MODE button. 3. Press the MODE button once. • You can now change the distance display unit. 4. The setting switches every time you press the PWR button.
Changing the measurement display mode (F2) The following four modes are available. The displayed information differs depending on the mode. Factory default setting is horizontal distance and angle mode. Adjusting the focus of the internal display If the internal display is difficult to see, adjust the focus with the following procedure. 1. Press the PWR button to turn on the power. 2.
Single measurement En Pressing the PWR button once starts single measurement, then displays the results. • If measurement fails, measurement continues automatically for up to about 4 seconds until results are obtained. Measurement stops when it is successful, even within about 4 seconds.
