Non-AI lenses can be used.
In manual focus mode, the electronic rangefinder can be used (only with lenses that have a maximum aperture of f/5.6 or faster).
For improved precision for center-weighted metering or spot metering, specify lens focal length and maximum aperture using [Non-CPU lens data].
Exposure mode A or M can be selected and color matrix metering can be used if [Non-CPU lens data] has been used to specify lens focal length and maximum aperture and
to set exposure meter coupling to [Non-AI lens]. Match camera aperture setting to value selected with lens aperture ring.
Observe due caution when tilting or shifting PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D EDlenses, as they may contact the camera body and cause damage or injury.
The tilt knob for the PC-E NIKKOR 24mm f/3.5D ED may contact the camera body when the lens is revolved. This can be prevented by installing a smaller tilt knob; contact
a Nikon-authorized service representative for more information.
When using it with a D5500, D5300, or D3300, be sure the camera firmware has been updated to the latest version.
