The TC800-1.25E ED teleconverter is for use exclusively with AF-S NIKKOR 800 mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lenses.
Autofocus is available only with cameras that offer f/8 support.
When focusing at minimum focus distance with this lens at maximum zoom, electronic rengefinder may be displayed when image on matte screen in viewfinder is not in
focus. Adjust focus manually until image in viewfinder is in focus.
With maximum aperture of f/5.6 or faster.
With maximum aperture of f/8.0 or faster.

If the maximum effective aperture is faster than f/8, autofocus is available. However, if the maximum effective aperture is slower than f/5.6 and the subject is dark or lacks
sufficient contrast, the camera may be unable to focus. Single-point AF is used when 3D-tracking or auto-area AF is selected for AF-area mode.

desired results are not achieved.
For improved precision, specify lens focal length and maximum aperture using [Non-CPU Lens Data option] in shooting menu.
Can be used at in manual exposure modes at shutter speeds slower than 1/125 s.
