With maximum effective aperture of f/5.6 or faster.

If the maximum effective aperture is f/8 or faster, the electronic rangefinder can be used with focusing. However, if the maximum effective aperture is slower than f/5.6 and

the subject is dark or lacks sufficient contrast, the in-focus indicator may be displayed even when the subject is not in focus.
