High-Speed Sync
with
optional flash units
that
support
the Nikon Creative Lighting
System
(CLS).
Auto
FP
allows
the
flash
to
be used at shutter speeds

(note
that
because
the
actual shutter speed may be slightly slower than displayed in
Pand
Amodes, Auto
FP
may
not
always be activated when
the
shutter speed display
shows

s).
Choose
to
enable fill flash when taking portraits under
bright
light
or
when taking photographs at large apertures. Auto
FP
High-Speed Sync
is
not
available when using
the
built-in flash. The default setting
is
Off.
