Manual Focus
To focus in manual focus mode (0 101),
rotate the lens focus ring until the subject is
in focus.
To magnify the view in the monitor up to
about 23 × for precise focus, press the X
button.
While the view through the lens is
zoomed in, a navigation window will appear
in a gray frame at the bottom right corner of
the display.
Use the multi selector to scroll
to areas of the frame not visible in the
monitor (available only if wide- or normal-
area AF is selected for AF-area mode), or
press W to zoom out.
A Non-CPU Lenses
When using non-CPU lenses, be sure to enter the focal length and
maximum aperture using the Non-CPU lens data option in the setup
menu (0 212). Non-CPU lenses can be used only in exposure modes g
and h (0 117); aperture can be adjusted using the lens aperture ring.
A Exposure
Depending on the scene, exposure may differ from that which would be
obtained when live view is not used.
Metering in live view is adjusted to
suit the live view display, producing photographs with exposure close to
what is seen in the monitor.
