The EN-EL 14 is a rechargeable battery
for
use exclusively in Nikon digital cam-
eras with manuals that list the EN-EL 14
as a compatible power source. It can be
charged repeatedly using
an MH-24 bat-
tery charger. When using this product,
be
sure to read not only this manual but
also the documentation provided with
the camera and charger.

• The EN-EL 14 is a rechargeable battery
for
use only with Nikon digital cam-
eras.
• When charging the EN-EL 14, use only
the MH-24 battery charger.
• Do
not expose the battery to heat or
flame.

Do not attempt to disassemble or
modify the battery.
•
Do not short the battery terminals
with a metal object
such as a neck-
lace or keys.
Failure to follow these instructions
could
cause the battery to leak corro-
sive liquids, overheat, explode, or cause
other damage to the battery.

EN-EL 14 rechargeable batteries are for
use with compatible devices only.
•
See the documentation provided with
the charger for information on charg-
ing the product,
as well as for further
cautions and warnings that must
be
observed when charging.
• Charge the battery before using the
product for the first time, or before
us-
ing the product following an extended
period
of disuse.
• Do
not use the battery at ambient tem-
peratures below
O°C (32"F) or above
40°C
(104°F). Failure to observe this
precaution could damage the battery
or impair its performance.
• Charge indoors at ambient tempera-
tures between 5 and 35°C
(41 to 95 OF).
• The battery will not charge if its tem-
perature
is below O°C (32°F) or above
60°C
(140°F).
