Flash Modes
Non-TTL Auto Flash Mode
t Monitor pre- ashes
Monitor pre-flashes can be activated or canceled as a non-TTL auto flash mode •
option in the custom settings. (0B-17)
Flash output is controlled more accurately with monitor pre-flashes. The SB-910 •
emits monitor pre-flashes before actual firing to obtain reflected flash data.
Monitor pre-flashes should be activated when auto FP high-speed sync (• 0E-24)
or FV lock (0E-25) is used.
Effective flash output distance range in non-TTL auto flash mode
The effective ash output distance range is
indicated by numbers and a bar chart on the
LCD.
The actual flash-to-subject distance should •
be within the range displayed.
The range varies depending on the camera’s •
image area setting, illumination pattern, ISO
sensitivity, zoom head position and aperture.
For more information, see “Specifications.”
