6 Introduction: Getting to Know the Camera
If the battery is totally exhausted or not in-
serted, the display in the viewfi nder will dim.
The viewfi nder display will return to normal
when a fully-charged battery is inserted.

Owing to the characteristics of this type of display, you may notice fi ne lines radiating outward from
the selected focus area. This is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
