Connecting to Camera
Personal Computer Connecting Cord MC-33
for F5
When connecting the Nikon F5 camera
to
your PC, use only Nikon Personal
Computer Connecting Cord MC-33.
A
data link cannot
be
established with other
connecting cords.
Connecting
1.
Switch
off
both the camera and
PC.
2.
Connect the MC-33
to
the camera's 10-pin remote
terminal.
Insert the MC-33's plug into the terminal with
the "A"
symbol pointing up, then turn the lock screw as
far
as
it
goes.

3. Connect the MC-33
to
the PC's external RS-232C
serial port.
Match the shape
of
the MC-33 connector with the
PC
terminal,
then push
it in
and tighten the two screws
on
the
plug.
4.
Open Windows® 95, then turn on the camera power.
Disconnecting
1.
Turn
off
the camera power.
2.
Remove the MC-33 connector from the PC.
Loosen the two screws on the connector, then pull
it
out.
3. Remove the MC-33 plug from the camera body.
Unscrew the lock
ring,
then unplug the MC-33.
