MRAD subtensions
MRADs or Milliradians are an angular measurement defined as one thousandth of a radian. The advantage with this system is that it indicates that 1 MRAD (milliradian) is exactly 10 cm at 100 m, 1 in. at 1000 in., and
1/1000th of any distance. The MRAD system does not require use of the metric system, but understanding it can be to your advantage. One inch is equal to 2.54 centimeters. While the temptation may be to simply round
to 2.5, the impact of this rounding at longer distances can make the difference between a hit and a miss.
