Using the menu
The movie menu
Option Description
Single
AF
(default
setting)
Focus is locked when movie recording starts.
S
elect this option when the distance between the camera and the
subject will remain fairly consistent.
Full-
time AF
The camera focuses continuously.
Select this option when the distance between the camera and subject
will change signicantly during recording. The sound of the camera
focusing may be heard in the recorded movie. Use of [Single AF] is
recommended to prevent the sound of the camera focusing from
interfering with recording.
Notes about [Autofocus mode]

When an HS mo
vie option is selected in [Movie options], the setting is xed at [Single
AF].
•
When the focus-mode selector is set to
(manual focus), [A
utofocus mode] cannot
be set.
•
This function may not be available to use in combination with other functions.

elect the vibration reduction setting used when recording movies.
