Using the menu
The setup menu
Format card
Use this option t
o format a memory card.

Formatting the memory cards permanently deletes all data. Data that has
b
een deleted cannot be recovered. Make sure to save important images to a
computer before formatting.
• To start formatting, select [Format] on the screen that is displayed and press the
button.
•
Do not turn the camera o or open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover
during formatting.
• You may not be able to select this setting while a wireless connection is
established.
Language
Select a language for display of camera menus and messages.

et the HDMI output of the camera.
You can output the live view image to HDMI-compatible devices without the
information display, or set the output resolution.
• The camera screen does not turn on while the camera is connected to an HDMI-
compatible device.
