"Tall" (portrait) orientation photosare displayedin "wide" (landscape) orientation:
• Select On for Rotate tall (_ 200).
• Photo was taken with Off selected for Auto image rotation (_ 239).
• Camera was pointed up or down when photo was taken (_ 239).
• Photo is displayed in image review (_ 200).
Cannotdelete picture:
• Picture is protected: remove protection (_ 174).
• Memory card is locked (_ 33).
Cannot retouchpicture:Photo can not be further edited with this camera (_ 249).
Cannot changeprintorder:
• Memory card is full: delete pictures (_ 36, 175).
• Memory card is locked (_ 33).
Cannot select photofor printing: Photo is in NEF (RAW) format. Create JPEG copy using NEF (RAW)
processing or transfer to computer and print using ViewNX 2 (supplied) or Capture NX 2
(available separately).
Pictureis notdisplayedonTV:
• Choose correct video mode (_ 237) or output resolution (_ 194).
• A/V (_ 191) or HDMI (_ 193) cable is not correctly connected.
Cameradoesnotrespondto remotecontrolfor HDMI-CECtelevision:
• Select On for HDMI > Device control in the setup menu (_ 194).
• Adjust HDMI-CEC settings for the television as described in documentation provided with
the device.
Cannot transferphotosto computer:OS not compatible with camera or transfer software. Use card
reader to copy photos to computer (_ 179).
NEF(RAW)photosnot displayedinCaptureNX2: Update to latest version (_ 281).
