Focus and Shoot
1 Press the shutter-
release button
halfway (0 44).
At default settings, the
camera will focus on the
subject in the center
focus point. Frame a
photo in the viewfinder
with the main subject
positioned in the center
focus point and press the shutter-release button halfway.
2 Check indicators in the viewfinder.
When the focus operation is complete, the in-focus indicator
(I) will appear in the viewfinder.
While the shutter-release button is pressed halfway,
focus will lock and the number of exposures that
can be stored in the memory buffer (“t”; 0 113)
will be shown in the viewfinder display.

using autofocus, see “Getting Good Results with Autofocus”
(0 107).

2 Focus point is between camera and subject.
