WARNING The battery is not itself waterproof. Do not get the battery wet when it is removed
from the instrument. If water seeps into the battery, it may cause a fire or burns.
Applying Power
Connect the charger to the USB port with the supplied USB cable. The power
input must be 5 V with at least 1 A of current capability.
Note – USB AC adapter is not included, please prepare an appropriate one.
Note – USB PD AC adapter cannot be used. Charger does not operate. (USB PD:
USB Power Delivery)
Charging a Battery
Connect the supplied USB cable to the battery charger and connect the other
terminal to the USB port or USB AC adapter.
Place the battery on a stable, and flat table and attach the battery charger from
above to begin charging. The charge indicator Orange will turn on when
charging is in progress. The charge indicator Green will turn on when charging
is complete.
Both Charge indicator Orange and Green turn on when charging a battery that
has stored for several months without use, but the charging continues in
conditioning mode. After that, the indicator changes to orange and the charging
switches to normal charging mode.
Charging may take about 6 hours if the battery was normally discharged.
Charging takes a little extra time with an exhausted battery which has been
stored for several months without use.
By design Li-Ion batteries should not be charged above 40 °C (ambient room
temperature).
