Turn on/off the Backlight and Sound
LCD backlight
To turn the LCD backlight on or off, press the illumination key . In case the LCD
is too dark or bright, it is possible to adjust the backlight level through the Contrast
adjustment window (by holding down the illumination key (bulb-icon) for one second
and pressing [<]/[>]; see page 32).
3-switch window
Use the 3-switch window to turn on/off the backlight
of the display and beep-sound on the instrument.
To open the 3-switch window from any screen, hold
down the illumination key for one second.
To cycle through the settings for a switch, press the
number beside that switch. For example, to turn the backlight on or off, press
[1].
Alternatively, to highlight the switch that you want to set, press
[^] or [v]. Then press
[ENT] to cycle through the settings for that switch.
Switch 1 (Backlight)
Switch 2 (Laser pointer, N 2" and N 5" only)
Switch 3 (Sound)
LCD backlight is on.
LCD backlight is off.
Laser pointer is off.
Laser pointer is on.
Sound is on.
Sound is off.
