I Using fo c us lock
..
When t he subject does not cover the
autofocus frame marks "0" , the cam -
era focuses on the background ins t ead.
Position the autofocus frame marks
"0 " directly on the subject and l ightly
press the shutter release button to fo-
cus. The green LED ligh t up and the fo -
cus is locked at this di stance .
Note: Do n ot alter the distance from camera to subject once the focus is locked.

scene in the viewf i nder. Now depress
fully to release the shutter.
Special focusing situ a tions
The following subjects may be too diffi-
cult to focus:
• Subjects t oo small to ful ly cover the
autofocus frame marks
• Dark subjects wi th no reflection
• Glossy li ght-re f lecting surfaces , such
as shi ny cars or wate r
•
Subjects without solid content ( i.e .,
candle flame, firewo r ks , etc. )
•
Secondary subjects are closer to the
camera t han the main su bject.
In the above cases, use focus lock by
focusing on another subject equidistant
from the camera and fo l low the proce-
dure in this sect i on .
