Updates
To view the camera firmware version or update the camera
firmware, select [Firmware version] in the setup menu.
Firmware Version Info
Camera firmware can be updated either from a computer or from a
smartphone or tablet (smart device).
•
From a computer: You can check whether new firmware is available
with a visit to the Nikon Download Center. For more information, see
the firmware download page.

From a smart device: If the camera and smart device are paired in the
SnapBridge app, SnapBridge will notify you when new firmware is
available so that the smart device can download the update to the
camera memory card. For more information, see the SnapBridge app’s
online help. SnapBridge may not display the notification at the same
time that updates are made available on the Nikon Download Center.
