Technical Guide (Pixel Shift Edition)

With the [Noise Reduction] item, you can set the amount of
processing to reduce noise in the merged images. For merged
pixel shift images, select [Resolution-priority pixel shift merge]
to completely disable [Noise Reduction]. Since noise reduction is
not performed, noise remains in the image, but the resolution of
the image is maintained.
[Resolution-priority pixel shift merge] is off
(the default setting)
[Resolution-priority pixel shift merge] is on

Tip: Noise Reduction
[Noise reduction] is not available for HEIF pictures. To process [Resolution-priority pixel shift
merge], select [SDR] for [Tone mode] in the photo shooting menu in the camera before taking
pictures.
