2.3 Grounding instructions
This vacuum cleaner must be grounded. If it should
malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path
of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk
or electric shock.
The power cord plug must be inserted into an
appropriate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local regulations and
ordinances.
3 Technical Data
3.1 Identification data
Always state the identification data of the vacuum
cleaner in your possession whenever you contact the
Nilfisk-Advance Service Center.
An exact indication of the vacuum cleaner model and
serial number will help to prevent incorrect information
from being given.
The identification plate with the vacuum cleaner data is
shown in Fig. 1.

3.2 Main parts (Fig. 2)
The following list of main parts will help operators to
understand the terms used in this Manual.

WARNING!
Improper connection of the
equipment-grounding conductor for this
type of vacuum cleaner can result in a risk
of electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician if you
are in doubt as to whether the outlet is
properly grounded. Do not modify the
power cord plug provided with the
vacuum cleaner.
If the plug will not fit the outlet, have a
proper outlet installed by a qualified
electrician.
WARNING!
The vacuum cleaner should never be
tampered with in any way.
Should the owner attempt to disassemble,
modify or otherwise tamper with the
vacuum cleaner, would make the
guarantee void.
In case of malfunctions, contact your
nearest Service Center.
