Function: Set the parameter of how your phone will communicate with other devices it
connects to.

Serial Speed: select the speed to be used for data exchange via your phone’s
serial port, use the up or down navigator to scroll to desired speed and press
or to confirm. The available selections are Automatic, 115200, 57600,
38400, 19200, 9600, 4800, 2400, and 1200. Except for specific requirements, it
is advisable to set it to Automatic.
USB Mode: set the default mode to use every time the USB is connected:
Mass Storage: use your phone as a removable mass storage device.
At Plug-in: set the mode when the USB is plugged-in.
Modem: use your phone as a modem for wireless web surfing.

Function: configure network preferences and parameters.

Selection: choose to Automatically or Manually select network.
Preferred: set or modify your preferred network. It will display the network
preference list as stored in your SIM. If the list is not displayed, input the country
code and network code and use up or down navigator to scroll to a desired
network and press
to confirm.
Network type: select your network: GSM-DCS, PCS, or to Automatically select
type.
GPRS: select how you want to be connected on the GPRS network: As Needed,
Always ON.

Function: configure phone’s security settings.

PIN number: managing your PIN code with:
Modify PIN Code: to change your PIN code, enter the old code first, press
, then enter the new code, press again, input the new code
again and press
to confirm. Note that the PIN should be activated
to be able to change it.
Control PIN: Activate or Deactivate PIN code. If activated, you will be
required to enter the PIN every time you turn ON the phone.
