To ENGAGE LOCKOUT MODE:
• STS Headlamp can be placed into Lockout mode to
avoid accidental operation during storage or
transport. It must be in Off mode to engage
Lockout mode.
• From Off mode, use two fingers to press and hold
anywhere on swipe pad. Red LED will blink once.
• Within 1 second, swipe in either direction. Red LED
will blink rapidly for 1 second and then it will enter
Lockout mode.
• In Lockout mode, swiping in either direction will
cause Red LED to blink rapidly for 1 second and then
turn Off.
To EXIT LOCKOUT MODE:
• With two fingers, press and hold anywhere on
swipe pad. White LED will blink once.
• Within 1 second, swipe left for White LED or swipe
right for Red LED. This exits Lockout mode.
• If no swipe is made within 1 second, STS
Headlamp will remain in Lockout mode.
• If you forget how to exit Lockout mode, remove and
re-insert batteries (following instructions below) to
return to Standard Operating mode.
Before first use, INSTALL BRACKET with elastic headstrap:
• Align flatter part of bracket with bottom edge of headlamp (lettering on
strap should be right side up).
• Orient posts in bracket to small holes on either side of the headlamp.
• Snap bracket posts into holes in headlamp.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Proof of purchase is required to establish date and location of purchase for warranty purposes. We
recommend that you retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
• Where postage/delivery of the item is deemed necessary, the owner will bear the expense of
transporting the item to BPM. Return freight will be covered by BPM.
• In the event this product contains a defect in materials or manufacture, we may elect to repair or replace
the product.

INOVA STS Headlamp OPERATION GUIDE:
NOTE: Interaction with the STS Interface surface requires both the
interface surface and swiping finger to be dry.
To TURN ON White or Red LED:
• From the Off mode, swipe left (in the direction of the
white arrow on swipe pad) for White LED.
• From the Off mode, swipe right (in the direction of the
red arrow) for Red LED.
To toggle through MODES
(High, Flash, Off):
• Swipe once to enter High mode (left for White LED or
right for Red LED)
• Swipe 2 times to enter Flash mode. Swipes must be
repeated within 2 seconds.
• In any mode, after a 3 second delay, swiping once will
turn Off the STS Headlamp.

To operate VARIABLE DIM Mode:
• Swipe once to enter High mode (left for White LED or

• Immediately press and hold anywhere on swipe pad
to enter Variable Dim mode.

level has been reached; then dim level will increase
to highest level.
• Release hold when desired light level is reached.

Pour mettre en marche la DEL blanche ou rouge :
• En mode Off (arrêt), glisser le doigt vers la gauche (en direction de la
flèche blanche sur la plaquette de glissement) pour la DEL blanche.
• En mode Arrêt, glisser le doigt vers la d
roite (en direction de la flèche
rouge) pour la DEL rouge.
Pour basculer d’un mode à l’autre (Puissance élevée, Clignotement, Arrêt) :
• Glisser le doigt une fois pour activer le mode Puissance élevée (vers la
gauche pour la DEL blanche ou vers la droite pour la DEL rouge).
• Glisser le doigt 2 fois pour activer le mode Clignotement. Les glissements
doivent être répétés dans un délai de 2 secondes.
• Dans n’importe quel mode, après un délai de 3 secondes, un seul
glissement éteint la lampe frontale STS.
Pour activer le mode Intensité variable :
• Glisser le doigt une fois pour activer le mode Puissance élevée (vers la
gauche pour la DEL blanche ou vers la droite pour la DEL rouge).
• Appuyer immédiatement et sans relâcher la pression sur la plaquette de
glissement pour activer le mode Intensité variable.
• L’intensité de la lumière diminue et clignote une fois lorsque le niveau
d’intensité minimum a été atteint; puis le niveau d’intensité augmente
jusqu’au niveau maximum.
• Relâcher la pression lorsque le niveau d’éclairage désiré est atteint.
Pour activer le mode Verrouillage :
• La lampe frontale STS peut être placée en mode Verrouillage pour éviter un
fonctionnement accidentel en période de remisage ou de transport. La
lampe doit être éteinte pour que le mode Verrouillage puisse être activé.
• En mode Arrêt, utiliser deux doigts pour appuyer sans relâcher la pression
n’importe où sur la plaquette de glissement. La DEL rouge clignote une fois.
• Dans un délai d’une seconde, glisser le doigt dans n’importe quelle
direction. La DEL rouge clignotera rapidement pendant 1 seconde puis le
mode Verrouillage de la lampe frontale sera activé.
• En mode Verrouillage, lorsqu’on fait glisser le doigt dans n’importe quelle
direction, la DEL rouge clignote rapidement pendant 1 seconde puis s’éteint.
Pour sortir du mode Verrouillage :
• Avec deux doigts, appuyer sans relâcher la pression n’importe où sur la
plaquette de glissement. La DEL blanche clignote une fois.
• Dans un délai d’une seconde, glisser le doigt vers la gauche pour la DEL
blanche ou vers la droite pour la DEL rouge. Ceci permet de sortir du mode
Verrouillage.
• À défaut de glissement dans un délai d’une seconde, la lampe fron
tale STS
restera en mode Verrouillage.
• Si vous avez oublié comment sortir du mode Verrouillage, retirer les piles et
les réinsérer (en suivant les instructions ci-dessous) pour revenir au mode
de fonctionnement standard.

REMARQUE : Pour que l’interaction fonctionne avec la surface de l’interface
STS il faut que la surface et votre doigt soient secs.

Die Lampe vor der ersten Benutzung in die Halterung am elastischen
Stirnband einsetzen:
• Richten Sie die flachere Seite der Halterung auf die Unterkante der
Stirnlampe aus. (Die Buchstaben auf dem Stirnband sollten richtig
herum stehen.)
• Richten Sie die Nippel an der Halterung auf die kleinen Öffnungen an
beiden Seiten der Stirnlampe aus.
• Drücken Sie die Nippel in die Öffnungen.

Weiße oder rote LED einschalten:
• Mit der Leuchte im ausgeschalteten Zustand, wischen Sie mit dem
Finger nach links (in Richtung des weißen Pfeils auf dem Bedienpad), um
die weiße LED einzuschalten.
• Wischen Sie mit dem Finger nach rechts (in Richtung des roten Pfeils auf
dem Bedienfeld), um die rote LED-Beleuchtung einzuschalten.
BETRIEBSMODUS wechseln (Volllicht, Blinklicht, aus):
• Einmal wischen, um auf Volllicht zu schalten (nach links für die weiße
LED oder nach rechts für die rote LED)
• 2 Mal wischen, um auf Blinklicht zu schalten. Die Wischbewegungen
müssen innerhalb von 2 Sekunden erfolgen.
• Ein einmaliges Wischen nach 3 Sekunden schaltet das STS-Stirnlampe
aus (unabhängig vom eingestellten Modus).
Variabler Dimm-Modus:
• Einmal wischen, um auf Volllicht zu schalten (nach links für die weiße
LED; nach rechts für die rote LED).
• Dann sofort den Finger auf eine beliebige Stelle des Bedienpads
gedrückt halten.
• Das Licht wird abgedimmt. W
enn die niedrigste Dimmstufe erreicht
wurde, blinkt es einmal. Anschließend nimmt die Lichtstärke wieder zu.
• Lassen Sie los, sobald die gewünschte Helligkeit erreicht wurde.
Sperrmodus deaktivieren:
• Halten Sie zwei Finger auf eine beliebige Stelle des Bedienpads gedrückt.
Die weiße LED blinkt einmal auf.
• Wischen Sie nun innerhalb 1 Sekunde nach links (um die weiße LED
einzuschalten) oder nach rechts (um die weiße LED einzuschalten). Dadurch
wird Sperrmodus deaktiviert.
• Falls innerhalb einer Sekunde kein Wischen erfolgt, verbleibt das
STS im Sperrmodus.
• Falls Sie vergessen haben, wie man den Sperrmodus deaktiviert, können Sie
auch die Batterien aus der Lampe nehmen und wieder einsetzen. Dadurch
wird die Lampe in den normalen Betriebsmodus zurückgesetzt. (Hinweise
zum Batteriewechsel nachstehend.)

1. Tilt bracket away from STS
Headlamp.
2. Lift cam and pull cam latch up, opening battery compartment.
3. Remove spent batteries.
4. Place 3 new AAA alkaline batteries into battery compartment one at a time, with positive (+) and negative (-) ends matching orientation indicated on
the battery compartment.
5. Close battery compartment and hold shut. Push cam latch down until it snaps into place. Lower cam. Move bracket back into place.
Warning: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Batteries should be
inserted in the direction indicated on the battery compartment. Do not reverse or mix the direction of the batteries.

Stirnlampe geht in den Sperrmodus über.
• Wenn sich die Lampe im Sperrmodus befindet, verursacht ein Wischen in
jede Richtung lediglich ein 1-Sekunden-langes Blinken der roten LED.
