Enable/disable wifi
Use this option to enable or disable the wifi connection. After enabling wifi, connect to the desired
wifi network by pressing Select wifi.
Select wifi
When pressing Select wifi, the NL Camera will scan for nearby wifi networks. After the scan, a list
of the detected networks will be shown. In case the wifi network you wish to connect to doesn’t
show up, try moving closer to the wifi access point. Once you find and select the desired network,
you will be asked to enter the wifi password. Please note that public wifi networks are not
supported, only secure password-protected wifi networks are supported. Wifi networks with a
separate login page are not supported.
While wifi is enabled, the NL Camera will remember the last wifi network connected to and
reconnect to this network if it is within range.
Change mode [option]
Some versions of the NL Camera have several different modes available. These modes might
either change different parameters or they might be used for entirely different applications.
Record settings [option]
Some versions of the NL Camera have the option to change the duration that sound is recorded
when taking a snapshot. Press the Change button to switch between the available record times.
Advanced settings
General advanced settings are described here. Some advanced settings are application-specific.
Information about the application-specific features is found below.
Timezone
This option allows the user to select the current timezone. The default timezone is UTC.
Timezones are ordered according to their current offset to UTC. Scroll up and down to find and
select the appropriate timezone.
The clock on the NL Camera is automatically synchronized over the Internet when connected to
wifi.
Show threshold
This option allows the user to temporarily adjust the threshold of the NL Camera. The threshold
determines how low sound levels the device will show. By lowering the threshold, quieter sound
sources can be shown, as long as the background noise is not too strong. If the threshold is set too
low in a silent environment, the camera may not focus on a single sound source, but instead show
randomly varying noise across the display. If the threshold is set too high, the device will not show
the most quiet sound sources.
