If you connect an external device or headset, other than those approved for use with this device, to the audio connector, pay special attention to volume levels. Parts of the device are magnetic. Metallic materials may be attracted to the device.
Nokia 105 User Guide Set up your phone 1. Put your fingernail in the small slot at the bottom of the phone, lift and remove the cover. 2. If the battery is in the phone, lift it out. 3. Slide the SIM card into the SIM1 slot with the contact area face down. If you have a second SIM, slide it into the SIM2 slot. Both SIM cards are available at the same time when the device is not being used, but while one SIM card is active, for example, making a call, the other may be unavailable. 4.
Nokia 105 User Guide Charge the battery 1. Plug the charger into a wall outlet. 2. Connect the charger to the phone. When done, unplug the charger from the phone, then from the wall outlet. If the battery is completely discharged, it may take several minutes before the charging indicator is displayed. Tip: You can use USB charging when a wall outlet is not available.
Nokia 105 User Guide 4 Calls, contacts, and messages CALLS Make a call Learn how to make a call with your new phone. 1. Type in the phone number. To type in the + character, used for international calls, press * twice. 2. Press �. If asked, select which SIM to use. 3. To end the call, press �. Answer a call Press �. Tip: If you are in a situation where you cannot answer the phone and you need to silence it quickly, select Silence . CONTACTS Add a contact Save and organize your friends’ phone numbers. 1.
Nokia 105 User Guide Call a contact You can call a contact directly from the contacts list. 1. Select Menu > � > Names and scroll to a contact you want to call. 2. Select the contact and press the call key. SEND MESSAGES Write and send messages 1. Select Menu > � > Create message . 2. Write a message on the message field. 3. Select Opt. > Send , to add a recipient. You can enter a phone number or add a recipient by selecting Search to open Contacts . 4. Select OK .
Nokia 105 User Guide 5 Personalize your phone CHANGE YOUR RING OR MESSAGE TONE You can choose a new ringtone or message tone. Change your ringtone 1. Select Menu > � > Tone settings . 2. Choose Ringing tone . 3. Scroll to a ringtone. 4. Press OK . Tip: Is your ringtone too loud or too silent? Select Ringing volume and scroll left or right. Change your message tones 1. Select Menu > � > Tone settings . 2. Scroll to Message alert tone . 3. Select the tone you want to use and select OK .
Nokia 105 User Guide Show date and time You can choose if you want to see date and time on the home screen of your phone. 1. Select Menu > � > Time settings > Display of time and date . 2. Select Show clock to have them visible on the home screen. If you want your phone to have time updated automatically, set Auto-update of date and time to On . PROFILES Your phone has different profiles for different situations. You can edit the profiles to your liking.
Nokia 105 User Guide Edit Go to settings On the bottom left of the home screen, you have Go to , and when you select it, you can quickly access different applications and settings. You can change the applications and settings to your liking. 1. Select Menu > � > Go to settings . 2. Select Select options . 3. Scroll to a shortcut you want to add on the Go to list on the home screen and Mark them. 4. Select Done to exit the list, and Yes to save changes. You can also reorganize your Go to list. 1.

When the phone asks if you want to search all available channels, select OK . 3. To switch between stations, scroll up or down. 4. To save a found channel, select Opt. > Save channel . LISTEN TO THE RADIO Listen to your favorite radio stations Select Menu > �. To change the volume, scroll left or right.

To set the time, scroll down, and select Clock > Set the time . Use the scroll key to set the time, and select OK . 4. To set the date, scroll down, and select Date setting . Nokia 105 User Guide 8 Empty your phone REMOVE PRIVATE CONTENT FROM YOUR PHONE If you buy a new phone, or otherwise want to dispose of or recycle your phone, here’s how you can remove your personal info and content. Note that it is your responsibility to remove all private content. Remove content from your phone When removing private content from your phone, pay attention to whether you are removing content from the phone memory or the SIM card. 1.
