1. To remove the battery cover from the back of the unit, turn
it over and pull the cover away.
2. Insert the batteries, observing the proper polarity.
3. Reinstall the battery cover by inserting the bottom slot.
➋ Turn on the GuideMate
Slide the ON/OFF power switch up to turn on the unit. When
the main page appears, rotate the unit two laps slowly and
horizontally until the symbol “N” appears on the compass ring.
➌ Acquire Satellites
To acquire satellite signals, go outdoors away from tall buildings.
Acquiring satellite signals, it may take up to 2 minutes the first
time you use your unit. Thereafter, it takes only 15~40 seconds
to find your location. When satellite icon appears, you’ll see
current position, direction, real time, distance to destination,
speed and other trip info. And then you can begin your other
activity.
Navigating to a POI
1. Press NEXT button to the destination page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Destination.
3. Press and hold SELECT button to view all of the
categories of the destinations (Venues, Restaurants,
Hotels…). Then press and hold SELECT button to enter
the subdirectory.
4. Press SELECT button to view all of the destinations. Then
press and hold SELECT button to select a destination, the
unit will return to the main page automatically.
Notes: The categories and destinations can be edited using our software by
end user, please refer to our software user manual for details.
Marking Your Location as a POI
1. Press NEXT button to the destination page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Mark POI. Then press and
hold SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
3. Press SELECT button to view all of the POI icons. Then
press and hold SELECT button to select a POI icon to save
current position info.
Notes: The marked POI will be saved into the category POI of destinations.
Viewing Tracking Log
1. Press NEXT button to the destination page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Log tracking. Then press
and hold SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
3. Press SELECT button to enter the setting page. Then press
and hold SELECT button to enable/disable the function.
Using the Stopwatch
1. Press NEXT button to the stopwatch page.
2. Press SELECT button to start/stop timer.
3. Press NEXT button to clear timer.
Set your GuideMate
To set language
1. Press NEXT button to the setting page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Language. Then press and
hold SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
3. Press SELECT button to select English, 简体中文 or 日
本語. Then press and hold SELECT button to save the
setting.
To set units
1. Press NEXT button to the setting page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Units. Then press and hold
SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
Unit by: km or mile
Log Distance: 0m ~ 1000m
3. Press and hold SELECT button to save the setting.
To set time zone
1. Press NEXT button to the setting page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Time Zone. Then press
and hold SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
Local: UTC+12 ~ UTC-12
Home: UTC+12 ~ UTC-12
3. Press and hold SELECT button to save the setting.
To set e-compass
1. Press NEXT button to the setting page.
2. Press SELECT button to select ECompass. Then press
and hold SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
3. Select Calibration. Then press and hold SELECT button
to calibrate the e-compass.
To set power control
1. Press NEXT button to the setting page.
2. Press SELECT button to select Power Control. Then
press and hold SELECT button to enter the subdirectory.
Back Light Off: Always off, Always on, 10 ~ 60 sec
Auto Suspend: Disabled, 3 ~30 min
3. Press and hold SELECT button to save the setting.

GuideMate does not turn
on
Check to see if the batteries
