Installing the Sensors
Your Sensor radio syst em comes w it h several sensors t hat you can inst all in your vehicle and
connect to the t ransceiver. When properly inst alled and connected, t hese sensors will send
informat ion back t o the Sensor so that you can monitor t he readings while you drive.
Receiver Battery Sensor
The transceiver monitors the receiver battery voltage from the POWER receptacle. There is no
inst allat ion necessary f or t his sensor.
Voltage Sensor
The voltage sensor is used to monitor the volt age of a separate battery pack (for example, an
e le ct ric cars main b at t e ry p ack) . I n a Nit ro car, t h is se n so r is n ot nee de d.
1. Connect the RED wire of volt age sense to the positive
terminal of your batt ery pack and t he BLACK wire of t he
voltage sense to the negative terminal of the battery pack
you w ant to monitor.
2. Carefully rout e, protect , and secure t he sensor w ires.
3. Plug the voltage sensor into the BATT receptacle.
Temperature Sensor
The temperature sensor is used to monitor the temperature
of a vehicle component such as a main battery pack, elect ric
motor, or nit ro engine.
I nst allat ion
The tip of the triangular temperature sensor is the active
measuring element. Install the sensor so that this tip is
pressed against the item whose temperature you wish t o
measure.
The sensor has been designed to be t hin enough t o fit between the fins on a heat sink. Two
se t s of ho le s are p ro vid e d t o w ire -t ie t he sen so r in p lace if de sire d . Alt e rnat e ly, a hig h -
temperature epoxy may be used to secure the sensor.
W hen inst alling on a nit ro mot or, place t he sensor as low as possible on the head, opposite
t he exhaust port . The sensor may also be inst alled on an elect ric mot or, batt ery pack, or ESC
heat sink.
