Assembly Instructions

Add quarter round moulding to the front and side
edges of the lid. Cut the front corners at a 45°
angle and glue each one to the edge of lid. Next, attach
them with nishing nails or brads to hold the trim until
the glue sets. Fill all nails holes with wood ller and
sand lightly.
STEP 6: Cut and attach trim to lid
Prime every surface of the box, including the underside. This
will help ensure it is weather resistant.
STEP 7: Coat entire box with primer
Give the box at least two coats of a quality exterior
latex paint (this example features Paramount “Aqua
Fiesta”). If desired, you can paint the trim and panels
two different colors as seen here. Use masking tape to
ensure clean paint lines.
Screw the hinges onto the lid and box. Attach the center
spring lid support.
STEP 9: Attach hardware
Place your outdoor storage bench on your deck or patio and
enjoy. The use of your new storage bench is twofold! You
can place a cushion on top for extra seating while also
using it to store outdoor items.
