Professional lighting designers create beautiful lighting by coordinating all of the lights to deliver something called “layered lighting.” Layered lighting impacts the mood of the room—not only the way it looks, but also the way it makes you feel.
Let’s get started. Pick a room. In order to control the light fixtures in a room, you’ll want to replace all of the light switches with Noon™ switches. This will allow you to control the overall feel of the room or bring more focus to one area in the space. Noon lighting works best in rooms with many light fixtures and dimmable bulbs.
Get to know your Noon™ switches. Room Director Wirelessly controls Extension Switches to coordinate room lights and deliver beautiful layered lighting. You’ll need one in each room. Press and hold to brighten or dim Swipe up or down to change scenes Extension Switch Communicates with the Room Director to coordinate lighting. Extension Switches can also dim and control an individual set of lights.
Accent Ambient Lighting basics. It’s the overhead lighting meant to evenly illuminate a room. It’s also called general lighting. There are three general types of lighting—ambient, accent and task. Professional lighting designers create something called “layered lighting” by finding the optimal balance between these lights to make a room look and feel it’s best. Task Noon creates layered lighting automatically, using sophisticated algorithms to create three pre-set scenes— Bright, Everyday, and Relax.
Additional Noon™ features. 9 Vacation Mode Night Light App and voice control Noon learns to mimic your typical behavior. It appears as if you’re home, even when you’re not. Enable Vacation Mode in the Noon App. The Room Director turns on ultra-low lighting, when motion is detected, to help guide you in the dark. Enable Night Light in the Noon App and set the active time in Settings. Use the Noon™ App to control your lights from anywhere.
