Firmware
On the fi rmware tab, it is able to load a new fi rmware image into the Aironet card. You can accomplish this
by copying the new fi rmware image fi le to the PL3000 by any method available to you. (ActiveSync transfer,
SD Card, Browser Download, etc.) Once the fi le is present in the unit you can click the ‘Browse…’ button
under on the fi rmware tab page. Then proceed with selecting the fi rmware image fi le; the upgrade will
proceed automatically once this is done. Do not upgrade the fi rmware unless you know it is necessary! If
everything is working as it should, never upgrade.

Status
The status page gives you the signal strength and quality information as well as information of the driver
and fi rmware versions. If the strength and quality bars are empty it means there is no 802.11b network to
connect to, or the settings are incorrect and the card cannot therefore establish a connection.
Statistics
This tab page shows you a summary of the traffi c that has occurred since the last hard reset. You can view
either received or transmitted data statistics by choosing the alternative from the category menu.
