1-4 Introduction
1.5.1.2 Loading Area

1 Safety Doors
Safety doors are located on the left and front of the machine and
allow access to the loading area. Opening the safety doors during
operation will stop the machine.
2 Magazine Platform(s)
The MH-900 is configured with a single magazine platform that can
hold a maximum of twelve (12) magazines. The system may also be
configured with an optional second platform.
In the optional dual magazine platform configuration, there are two
(2) magazine platforms, a lower platform and an upper platform. A
maximum total of twenty-four (24) magazines can be loaded at one
time, twelve (12) magazines on each platform. The maximum
magazine height for the upper platform is 270 mm. The maximum
magazine height for the lower platform is 200 mm.
Magazine Platform
Sensor (Not Shown)
The lower platform can be pulled out for ease of loading. It has two
(2) locking latches, one on each side. The lower magazine platform
has a sensor, located at the front end of the platform, to detect that
the platform is secure.
3 Magazine Guides
Each magazine platform has guides to help position the magazine for
the shuttle to pick carriers/frames. These guides are manually
adjusted for different widths of magazines. See
3.9.1 Hardware

Elevator Homing
Sensor
The Elevator Homing Sensor is located in the loading area,
underneath the lower platform.
5 Magazine Clamp
Magazine Clamps are spring clamps that ensure the magazines are
always aligned to the reference edge.
Elevator (Not Shown)
The magazine platforms sit on an elevator that moves them up and
down simultaneously. The elevator is controlled by a motor located
just below the lower magazine platform.
