2.8 Emergency Shutdown
In the event of an emergency or malfunction, press one of the EMO buttons (Figure 2-6). Pressing the
EMO on the MH-900 turns OFF two relays in the Main Power System.
NOTE The system may be configured to cut power to both the MH-900 and the dispensing
system when the EMO button is pressed. The Nordson ASYMTEK Dispensing System
also provides that capability.

WARNING! In an emergency, failure to completely shut down power to the MH-900 with the
EMO can cause serious injury to the user and/or damage to the system.
2.8.1 Emergency Shutdown Situations
As a minimum, activate the EMO in the following situations:
If anyone is in immediate danger of being injured by moving parts, hazardous materials, or
electrical shock.
If valuable components or the work pieces are in danger of being damaged.
2.8.2 Emergency Shutdown Recovery
WARNING! Do not restart the MH-900 operation until the condition that caused the
emergency shutdown has been fixed. Failure to comply could cause serious
injury to the user and/or serious damage to the system.
To restore power after a MH-900 Emergency Shutdown:
1. Push all carriers completely into their magazine slots.
2. Turn the EMO on the MH-900 to the right until it pops back into position.
3. Press the ON button on the MH-900 Control Panel. See Figure 1-8.
