2.10 Service Shutdown
Before performing service or parts replacement, the dispensing system should be shut down as follows:
To perform a service shutdown:
1. Shutdown the MH-900 as described in 4.5.2 Shutdown.
2. Shutdown the dispensing system as described in the applicable dispensing system manual.
3. Perform a “Lockout/Tagout of Electrical and Pneumatic Energy” as described below.
2.11 Lockout/Tagout of Electrical and Pneumatic Energy
WARNING! When performing service or maintenance work on the MH-900, disconnect and
lockout electrical and pneumatic energy as described below.
To lock out and remove electric energy from the MH-900:
1. Disconnect power cord from MH-900 Inlet connector.
2. Turn the Main Circuit Breaker OFF (0). See Figure 1-2 and Figure 1-5.
3. Place a padlock through the hole in the perimeter of the switch.
4. Lock the padlock.
5. Attach a prominent warning tag to the lock with durable string.
This tag documents the name of the technician taking the equipment out of operation,
the date, and other facility-required information. It is a warning that the equipment
cannot be put back into operation until the authorized technician has removed the tag
and the lock.
To lock out pneumatic energy from the MH-900:
1. Disconnect the pneumatic supply line from MH-900 quick disconnect pneumatic inlet fitting.
2. Install a user-provided lockout device over the MH-900 quick disconnect pneumatic inlet
fitting.
