Troubleshooting 6-1
6 Troubleshooting
6.1 Overview
This section identifies symptoms and probable causes of operational difficulties with the MH-900
upstream and downstream systems. If you encounter difficulties not listed here, or if the suggested
recoveries do not correct the problem, please contact Nordson ASYMTEK Technical Support.
6.2 Troubleshooting Guide
Troubleshooting is divided into three tables. Table 6-1 lists operator-level procedures that may be
performed by production operators. Table 6-2 is a list of electrical troubleshooting procedures, and
Table 6-3 is a list of mechanical troubleshooting procedures. The procedures in Table 6-2 and Table 6-3
should be performed by trained service technicians only.
Simple recovery procedures are included in all of the troubleshooting tables. For problems requiring more
extensive recovery procedures, contact Nordson ASYMTEK Technical Support.
NOTE
Use appropriate electrical troubleshooting tools and instruments when performing fault
diagnostics of electrical cables and wire harnesses.
6.3 Safety First
Operation of your MH-900 involves mechanical devices, air pressure, and electrical power. It is essential
that every person servicing or operating the MH-900 fully understands all hazards, risks, and safety
precautions. When properly operated and maintained, the MH-900 should be safe and reliable.
Thoroughly review Section 2 - Safety prior to performing troubleshooting procedures.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when using tools which may pose a safety hazard. If in
doubt, consult with an Environmental, Health and Safety specialist. When using cleaning materials,
consult the manufacturer Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for proper use and disposal instructions.
NOTE
Refer to the electrical block diagrams when troubleshooting electrical malfunctions.
