3 in. pipe
2 in. × 3 in. Increaser
coupling
When using PVC-3CT, 3 in. (75 mm)
pipe and 2 in. - 3 in. Increaser
couplings are required.
Increaser couplings must be
installed just above the Water
Heaters vent flue connections.
* The length of the pipe
between the Increaser
couplings and the Exhaust
and Intake Flue of the
Water Heater should be up
to 6 in. (152 mm).
Insert Bird Screen in
End of Termination.
Bird Screen is not
supplied with water
heater.
It is included in PVC
Concentric
Termination.
Exhaust
2 in. (50 mm)
or
3 in. (75 mm)
Intake
2 in. (50 mm)
or
3 in. (75 mm)
Slope the horizontal
vent 1/4 in. upwards for
every 12 in. (305 mm)
toward the termination.
Hanger
Straps
1 in. (25 mm) to
2 in. (50 mm)
(e.g. PVC-2CT installation)
PVC-2CT or
PVC-3CT
Install a securing
strap to prevent
movement of the
termination.
For Horizontal PVC Concentric Termination - PVC/CPVC Material Only
The concentric termination may be shortened, but not lengthened from its original factory supplied length.
2 in. (50 mm) or 3 in. (75 mm) PVC or CPVC pipe may be used with the concentric termination.
Maintain the same vent pipe diameter from the Water Heater flue to the termination.
Use a condensation drain if necessary.
In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts a carbon monoxide detector is required for all side wall horizontally
vented gas fuel equipment. Refer to Technical Bulletin TB 010606 for full installation instructions.
For Universal Concentric Vent Kit
