Our heat exchanger has 25% thicker piping to help
prevent condensation and erosion, ensuring a
longer life.
Durability
Research shows that a competitor’s heat exchanger
would last an estimated 7.6 years before a leak
occurred. The tests for the Noritz Commercial grade
heat exchanger on the other hand, indicate that it
would last more than twice as long - an estimated
18.4 years - before a leak occurred.
The heat exchanger is under warranty for 12 years (see
warranty for conditions). Noritz will extend this same
warranty up to a maximum of 6,500 operational hours if
an aquastat, timer or other device is used to limit the use
of recirculation during the day. We call this “controlled
