Buddy settings
Use the Buddy pane to manage presence update behavior for your
mobility-enabled buddies (mobile client users on the same system).
Reviewing and configuring your Buddy settings
1. Select Menu, Options, Buddy.
2. Complete the fields using the information in the following table as a
guide.
Call Intercept Call Intercept can be turned on or off.
On (default): All calls placed from the
device, including calls from the native
dialer) route through the MCG 3100. This
allows you to show your Enterprise
telephone number when calling people
on company business.
Off: Calls placed from the native dialer
do not route through the MCG 3100. The
other party will see your cellular
telephone number.

Field Description
Enable Auto Presence Select this check box to have the MCC 3100
receive automatic presence notifications
from other mobility-enabled buddies
whenever their status changes.
Note: Enabling this feature causes extra
airtime to be consumed and battery life
to be reduced.
