IP routing conﬁguration using the CLI 65

The show ip arp command is executed in the Global Conﬁguration

command mode.

show ip arp static command

The show ip arp static command displays all conﬁgured static entries

in an ARP table, including those without a valid route.

The syntax for the show ip arp static command is:

show ip arp static

The show ip arp static command can be executed in any command

mode.

show ip arp static command output

ip arp command

The ip arp command creates and enables a static ARP entry. The

requested information for connection to the device must be supplied.

The syntax for the ip arp command is:

ip arp <A.B.C.D> <aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff> <unit / port> [vid

<1-4094>]

The following table outlines the parameters for this command.

Parameters Description

<A.B.C.D> Enter the IP address of the device being set as a

static ARP entry.

<aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff> Enter the MAC address of the device being set as

a static ARP entry.

<unit / port> Enter the unit and port number of the device being

set as a static ARP entry.

vid <1 - 4094> Enter the VLAN ID to which the static ARP entry

is being added to.

The ip arp command is executed in the Global Conﬁguration command

mode.
