TRUCK CHEST MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the tool box in the location desired. Make sure the bottom is in full contact with the truck bed and that the lid will operate without
interference. Some trucks have a radius junction where the side of the bed meets the floor and will prevent the chest from sitting flat on
the floor. If this is the case, the next smaller chest may fit better.
Find the location of the “ridges” (high points) in the bottom of the truck bed. You will need to know where these are located when you
anchor the chest to the floor. See the drawing above for example.
Decide where to place the four (4) mounting screws through the box bottom and into the floor ridges. Screws between 3/16” and 1/4”
work best. Look under the truck bed to ensure you will not be drilling into any electrical or fluid lines.
Center punch the locations where the screws will be inserted. Drill the correct size holes for the screws you select, or use self-drilling type
screws.
Before you tighten the screws completely, seal the holes by applying a caulk or silicone sealant. Some chest installers remove the
screws and reinstall them through rubber washers. The purpose of this is to keep water from entering the box from the holes and screws
just installed.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: If your truck has a bed
liner, use these instructions as
a guide only.
Due to the many differences in
bed liner thickness and fit,
longer fasteners are highly
recommended.
You will need to ensure that
your new truck box is mounted
securely to the truck, not the
bed liner.
This tool box must be securely mounted to prevent movement
or shifting.
