Never use a finger or skin to check for leaks.
Never operate machine with damaged or missing hoses/parts.
Never attempt to repair a high-pressure hose or component. Always replace it with a part that is
rated at or above the pressure rating of this machine.
1) Check hoses, fittings, wand, trigger gun and connections for signs of wear, cracks, looseness, or leaks. Replace as
required.
2) Check and clean the nozzle orifice.
Clean Inlet Filter
Clean the water filter before each use.
WARNING: When cleaning filters, check whether dangerous
chemicals have been used with the filter and take any precautions that
may be recommended by the manufacturer of these chemicals. Always
dispose of hazardous fluids per local, state, and national guidelines.
Self-cleaning method:
1) Locate water filter on pump inlet hose. (See the Inlet Filter reference
in the parts explosion section.)
2) Make sure there is water in tank.
3) Turn the red knob counterclockwise open. Allow the water to run thru
the hose barb for a minute or two. Turn clockwise to close.
Manual cleaning method:
1) Disassemble filter housing.
2) Remove filter.
3) Run under water to clean. Note: The filter can be ordered separately if it becomes damaged. (See the Inlet Filter
reference in the parts explosion section.)
4) Reassemble.
Recharge and
Maintain Battery
Inspect, recharge, and maintain battery according to your battery manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not store with battery charger always connected. Batteries that are over-charged can boil themselves dry and produce
excessive amounts of hydrogen, an explosive gas.
Perform Engine
Maintenance
Perform engine maintenance as specified in the engine owner’s manual.
Engine maintenance items include:
Changing oil and oil filter if applicable.
Check Air filter replace if necessary.
Fuel filter check/replacement.
Inspecting and cleaning muffler (and spark arrestor if equipped).
Change Pump Oil
Change the pump oil after the first 40 hours of use, and then after
every 3 months or 500 hours of use after that.
1) Remove cap from oil drain hose on pump.
2) Drain the pump oil into suitable container and dispose of
responsibly.
3) Replace cap on oil drain hose.
4) Make sure unit is sitting level. Fill pump with 33.8 oz. of
SAE30 non-detergent oil to middle of sight glass (or at the
indicator line on the dipstick if equipped).
5) Reinstall oil fill dipstick.
