NOTICE: Risk of property damage. Drain the water from the air tank may contain oil and rust which can
cause stains.
6. After the water is drained, close the drain valve (clockwise). The air compressor can now be stored.
NOTE: If the drain valve is plugged, release all air pressure. The valve can then be removed, cleaned, and
reinstalled.
Pump Oil
Compressor Pump Oil
NOTICE: Risk of property damage. Use air compressor oil only. Multi-weight automotive engine oils like
10W30 should not be used in air compressors. They leave carbon deposits on critical components, thus
reducing performance and compressor life.
NOTE: Use synthetic blend, non-detergent air compressor oil.
NOTE: The crankcase oil capacity is approximately 13 fluid ounces (113.6 ml).
Checking Oil
1. The oil level is in the middle of the sight glass (position E in figure I).
2. If needed, remove the oil fill plug (position D in figure I) and slowly add oil until it reaches the middle of
the sight glass.
Changing Oil
1. Remove the oil fill plug (position D in figure I).
2. Remove the oil drain plug (position F in figure I) and drain oil into a suitable container.
3. Replace the oil drain plug (position F in figure I) and tighten securely.
4. Slowly add compressor oil until it reaches the middle of the sight glass (position E in figure I). NOTE:
When filling the crankcase, the oil flows very slowly into the pump. If the oil is added too quickly, it will
overflow and appear to be full.
⚠CAUTION
• Overfilling oil will cause premature compressor failure. Do not overfill.
5. Replace the oil fill plug (position D in figure I) and tighten securely.
