Cap Fitting; Torque to
100lb-in
6) Rinse body.
7) When cleaning is complete reinstall the Body into the
Enclosures, taking care not to cause damage.
8) Tighten the Screws into the body
until they are snug. Do not over-
tighten the screws.
9) Insert the Shuttle Assembly with the rounded end
first, into the body. Align with grooves.
10) Inspect the O-ring on the Cap, if it is damaged, replace the entire flow switch assembly. To order a replacement flow
switch assembly, call NorthStar ProSHOT Product Support at 1-800-969-7073. If the O-ring is not damaged, re-
install the Cap onto the Body. Torque the cap to
100lb-in.
On the elbow on the inlet of the coil, remove any
remaining thread tape/sealant. Re-apply new thread
tape/sealant on the elbow. Re-connect the swivel to the
elbow. Hand-tighten the swivel onto the elbow, and
once snug, using a wrench continue to tighten the
swivel two additional revolutions.
Inspect/Replace Fuel
Filter/Pump
Check fuel filter and fuel pump when inspecting fuel lines.
Change/replace as needed. (See the Parts Explosion for locations: Skid and Roll Cage.)
Clean Chemical
Strainer and Injector
Clean the strainer and injector. Always start with a clean detergent container. Run clean water through the injector after
each use.
Inspect/Maintain
Brakes
Inspect brakes annually or more frequently as use and performance requires. Clean and replace components, as
necessary.
WARNING: Always maintain the pressure washer’s brakes in good working order. The pressure washer is very heavy.
Brake failure could result in loss of control of towing vehicle.
Instructions:
1) Inspect magnets, shoes, and magnetic coil for wear. Replace as needed. Note: Magnets should always be replaced
in pairs (both sides of an axle).
a) Replace magnets and shoes if worn or scored.
b) Replace magnets if they are wearing unevenly or abnormally.
c) Replace magnets if any part of the magnetic coil becomes visible through the friction material facing of the
magnet.
2) Reface the drum armature surface when replacing magnets.
3) Check springs for stretch or deformation and replace as needed.
4) Clean the backing plate, magnet arm, magnets, and brake shoes.
5) Check for other worn or loose parts.
