Maintenance
The tie-rod cylinder will need to run three cycles without load. After the air is drained, it will be ready to
run under load. The purpose is to ensure the smooth operation of the machine and protect the sealed
parts.
1. Replace hydraulic oil and filter screen regularly during use to keep oil clean and extend the
cylinder’s life.
2. During use, work within the cylinder’s pressure range to avoid the damage to the parts.
3. To protect the life of the seals, never work over the temperature range (-40° F to 200° F).
4. While using, do not bump the cylinder or scratch the piston rod surface.
5. Check the cylinder connections frequently and add lubricating oil to prevent excessive wear.
6. Always check all threaded areas of the oil cylinder connections.
7. Regularly grease the trunnion pins to avoid premature wearing. The time between greasing will be
dependent on the frequency the cylinder of use.
